Philosophy and Approach

Function, Beauty and Resilience form the foundation of our dynamic and regenerative partnership with nature. In order to restore the land we must first restore our relationship with it. We strive to achieve this by utilizing equal quantities of artistic inspiration and scientific investigation.

With every project we ask three simple questions:

Does it work?

Every project we do is carefully designed to address well-defined problems and opportunities. From this starting point we work with you to ensure every action taken meets the greatest need and yields the greatest benefit for your land.

Is it beautiful?

To us, beauty is not simply about pleasing appearances; it is the outcome of our ability to synchronize people, process and place to create regenerative connections with the land. As Aldo Leopold wisely said, “A thing is right when it tends to preserve the integrity, stability and beauty
of the biotic community. It is wrong when it tends otherwise.”

Will it last?

Our goal is to create effective and resilient projects that add beauty and value to your land while blending harmoniously into the surrounding ecosystem for generations to come.
